THE NATIONAL BIG HOUSE PRISON MUSEUM

312 3rd Street, Represa, CA 95671 (on the grounds of Folsom Prison)

Originally known as the Folsom Prison Museum, The National Big House Prison Museum was founded in 1975 by the Retired Correctional Peace Officers Foundation. Since 2011 it has been operated by the Old Guard Foundation, which is working to transform the museum into a national prison museum.

Open daily,  10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Admission $2 (under 12 free).
